Student Bio

Isabella Gessman is a PhD student in the Mechanical Science and Engineering department at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, advised by Professor Tonghun Lee. She is originally from Cheshire, Connecticut, and received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Vermont. Her work for CEESD investigates material degradation in high enthalpy flow to simulate a supersonic combustion flow path.
